How often should I change the water in my Tetra tank?
I have a Tetra "Bubbling LED Kit" 1 gallon fresh water hex tank with only 1 beta fish living in the aquarium. If I don't run the included filter or bubbler how often should I change out the water in my tank, and during the change, how much of the water should I change out (e.g., 30%, 50%, 70%, 100%)? If I do run the included filter and/or bubbler will I have to change out the water less often, and if so, how much less?

With the filter, change 25% of the water once a week. Without the filter, change 25% of the water twice a week. Once every 4-6 weeks, remove the fish and half the water and set them to the side. Stir up the gravel and then pour out the remaining old water, wipe the sides of the tank down with a papertowel. Be careful to not scratch the acrylic. Fill the tank halfway with new water at the proper temperature and add water conditioner, then put the betta and his old water (that he has been sitting in, waiting patiently) back into the tank.
